VAT and invoicing for Germany

The standard VAT rate in Germany is 19%. Our deliveries to trade customers in Germany are intra-EU B2B supplies from Austria.

With a valid EU VAT number, your invoice carries 0% Austrian VAT (reverse charge, Article 138 of Directive 2006/112/EC). Please discuss with your tax adviser how to treat the purchase in your own VAT return.

Shipping to Germany

Germany is in our shipping zone 2 (Core EU). We ship with DPD Standard, and the cost depends on the weight of your parcel:

  • up to 3 kg: €14.50
  • up to 5 kg: €15.00
  • up to 10 kg: €16.00
  • up to 15 kg: €18.00
  • up to 20 kg: €19.00
  • up to 25 kg: €19.50

Shipping is free for orders from €1,000. Your goods leave our warehouse in Vienna 1 to 2 working days after payment, as a tracked DPD parcel.

Labels, CPNP and the Responsible Person

Every cosmetic product on the EU market needs a CPNP notification and an EU Responsible Person. The Glow Trade's stock is CPNP-registered and EU-labelled.

In Germany, Section 4 (Sprache) of the Cosmetics Ordinance (Kosmetik-Verordnung, KosmetikV) also applies: cosmetic products may only be made available on the market if the particulars under Article 19(1)(b), (c), (d) and (f) and Article 19(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 are given in German.

Enforcement lies with the cosmetics surveillance authority of your federal state. The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) publishes a list of these authorities at www.bvl.bund.de/kosmetikbehoerden. Every pack already carries the mandatory label information in German.
