VAT and invoicing for Czechia

The standard VAT rate in Czechia is 21 %. A delivery from Austria to a Czech business is an intra-EU B2B supply. If you provide a valid EU VAT number, your invoice carries 0 % Austrian VAT under the reverse charge (Directive 2006/112/EC, Art. 138).

In practice, the invoice from The Glow Trade shows 0 % Austrian VAT and refers to the reverse charge. How you declare the purchase in your Czech VAT return is something to confirm with your tax adviser.

Shipping to Czechia

Czechia is in our shipping zone 3, Central EU. Orders leave Vienna as tracked DPD Standard parcels at these rates:

  • DPD Standard up to 3 kg: EUR 17.00
  • DPD Standard up to 5 kg: EUR 17.50
  • DPD Standard up to 10 kg: EUR 18.00
  • DPD Standard up to 15 kg: EUR 19.50
  • DPD Standard up to 20 kg: EUR 21.50
  • DPD Standard up to 25 kg: EUR 22.50

Shipping is free on orders from EUR 1,000. We dispatch 1 to 2 working days after payment.

Labels, CPNP and the Responsible Person

Every cosmetic product sold in the EU needs a CPNP notification and an EU Responsible Person. The Glow Trade's stock is CPNP-registered and EU-labelled.

For Czechia, the mandatory label particulars must be in Czech, based on Art. 19(5) of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 as applied in Czechia. If the Responsible Person has not provided Czech labelling, the business making the product available in Czechia must add it to comply with national law.

The competent authority is the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic (Ministerstvo zdravotnictví ČR), and the rules are enforced through the regional hygiene stations (krajské hygienické stanice).
