VAT and invoicing for Croatia

The standard VAT rate in Croatia is 25%. Deliveries from The Glow Trade are intra-EU B2B supplies from Austria. If you have a valid EU VAT number, your invoice carries 0% Austrian VAT under the reverse charge mechanism (Directive 2006/112/EC, Art. 138).

In practice, this means the invoice you receive from us shows no Austrian VAT, and the supply is treated under the reverse charge rules in Croatia. Please enter your EU VAT number when you apply so that we can invoice correctly. For how the reverse charge is recorded in your own VAT return, we recommend speaking with your tax adviser.

Shipping to Croatia

Croatia is in our shipping zone 4. Orders travel as tracked DPD Standard parcels from Vienna, with the following rates by parcel weight:

  • DPD Standard, up to 5 kg: €24.00
  • DPD Standard, up to 10 kg: €25.00
  • DPD Standard, up to 15 kg: €26.00
  • DPD Standard, up to 20 kg: €27.00

Shipping is free for orders from €1,000. We dispatch 1 to 2 working days after your payment has arrived, and you receive tracking for your DPD parcel.

Labels, CPNP and the Responsible Person

Every cosmetic product sold in the EU needs a CPNP notification and an EU Responsible Person. The stock we sell is CPNP-registered and EU-labelled, so you are not buying grey-market goods that still need to be brought into line with EU rules.

The competent authority in Croatia is the Ministry of Health (Ministarstvo zdravstva RH), and inspections of cosmetic products are carried out by the sanitary inspectors (sanitarni inspektori). We add Croatian labels free of charge with your first order.
